Delivery Terms and Conditions

Gift baskets can only be delivered in South Australia.

Delivery Costs

Delivery charges start at $6 for Unley, but will vary from suburb to suburb. We realise the importance of getting your gift to the recipient on the date you require it so we use extremely reliable couriers. 

Unfortunately, while no specific delivery time is guaranteed due to factors outside The Gift Specialist’s Control. i.e. Road Works.
All deliveries to businesses will be prior to 5pm, home addresses prior to 6:30pm and hospital's prior to 7:30pm. (excludes occasions i.e. Mother's Day etc)


Delivery Times

Monday-Friday
Orders place by 1:30pm can be delivered same day to metropolitan areas up to 6pm.
Orders received after 1:30pm Adelaide Time will be delivered next business day!
We allow 3-4 hrs for delivery from time the of collection from our store by the air conditioned couriers.
(excludes occasions i.e Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day Father's Day etc)
Country Deliveries are ''freight'' based and can take between 2-4 business days depending on location and depending on the location will be delivered to the local post office or depot that services the area...Recipient will be advised of the depot drop location.
Orders need to be placed by 10:30am on a business day (Mon-Fri) for the best chance of being delivered in the next 2-4 business days. 
(Country areas are clearly marked with the word 'country' in brackets at the checkout - All DAIRY related products will be replaced with non perishable food)
Fruit Baskets, Flowers and 18'' Helium Balloons CAN'T BE DELIVERED TO COUNTRY LOCATIONS... 


Saturday
Orders placed before 12:00 noon will be delivered sometime between 1pm & 5pm Saturday afternoon to metropolitan areas only...Any order received after 12 noon will be processed and delivered on the next business day.


Sundays & Public Holidays 
We do not process orders, respond to emails or deliver on Sunday or Public Holidays. (With only one exception ''Mother's Day'' :-)
Regardles of what the ''countdown timer'' may say or state - we are closed on all public holidays.
We will process orders, make deliveries and respond to email questions on the next available business day.
As we would like to have some time off...Thanks for your understanding. :-)


PO Boxes

Gifts Baskets or Hampers can NOT be delivered to PO Boxes. You must provide a physical businees or home address.


Christmas Deliveries Dates

Plan ahead for holiday operating hours – and ship early when possible. Although TGS makes every effort to deliver holiday ground shipments with the same transit times as the rest of the year,
we can't guarantee Country Ground shipments during the two weeks before Christmas due to unusually high volume.
A good rule of thumb is to allow seven business days for ground shipments during those last two weeks, particularly for long distances; your shipment may arrive sooner of course. ;-)


High Summer Temperatures

PLEASE be aware when sending Gift Baskets containing Lindt & Cadbury Chocolates on HIGH temperature days (i.e. over 30 degrees) they will MELT if left for any length of time.
We request you find out when the recipient will be home and specify in "Special Instructions" at checkout ''Please deliver after 3 PM'' or '' Please deliver before 12 noon"
Lindt is a very delicate chocolate and melts easily. Most of our customers would prefer melted chocolate on their ice-cream. :-)

 

Deliveries Containing Alcohol

Gifts containing alcohol may be purchased online or in our store at 150 Unley Rd, Unley by persons over the age of 18. If delivered, these gifts must also be received by someone who is over the age of 18.
Deliveries containing alcohol cannot be left unattended at a premises. Someone over the age of 18 must be there to receive the gift. If possible we recommend sending to a business address.

Special Circumstances Liqour Licence 51210179. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years.

 

Out of Stock 

If an item within the Gift Basket is out of stock i.e. ''Apricot Slice'' or ''Maggie Beer Paste'' - We will always try and replace with a similar, equal or greater value product.


Pick Ups

Gifts Baksets and Hampers are available for pick up from our Unley shop front. Baskets containing alcohol can only be picked up by persons over the age of 18.

Refunds & Returns

Refunds - will take 3 to 5 business days to show back into your account, dependant on your financial institution's processing times. 
Returns - for a gift basket purchased online or in store, please retain sales docket or invoice for exchange of faulty product within 7 days of purchase. The item in question must be returned to the store (150 Unley Road, Unley) either by the buyer or receiver for an exchange of the same item (subject to stock availablity) - if unable, we will provide a refund of the products instore retail value. Excludes sales items & delivery charges. 

 

General Delivery Information

  • Gifts Baskets & Hampers will be delivered to the address as provided by you.
  • Where possible we recommend delivery to a business address.
  • If we are given an incorrect address and we need to re-deliver the gift to a different address, an additional delivery charge will apply.
  • If you have selected YES to leaving and the recipient is not home, the Gift will be left in the location that the courier believes to be the most secure at that address. We cannot be held responsible for stolen goods.
  • If the courier does not believe there is a secure enough location to leave the Gift, or they cannot access the property (Locked Gates & Dogs) the Gift will be returned to our shop, we will then contact you to discuss discuss payment of redelivery fee or collection by the recipient.
  • If you have select NO for leaving the gift, we will attempt to deliver to the address provided, however if they are not home the gift will be returned to our shop.
    We will then contact you to discuss payment of redelivery fee or collection by the recipient.
  • For country deliveries some items may be substituted for alternate items to avoid products being heat damaged, due to the amount of time they will be in transit.
  • All delivery prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST.
  • International Customers please place orders at least 2 business days in-advance to allow for all time zone differences.
